We read in the Bible, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
That includes sins like lying (Exodus 20:16), stealing (Exodus 20:15), lusting (Matthew 5:28), using God’s name in vain (Exodus 20:7), and many other sins.
The Bible teaches, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
1 Peter 2:24 puts it this way, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
Romans 10:9 says, “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
I encourage you to personally receive God’s gift of forgiveness and eternal life by faith today. You can not accept these things from religion, any church, your sincerity, or because one is a good person. You only receive them by putting your complete trust in this same Jesus as your Savior.
If you have not done so, will you please turn to God?
Recognize what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross, ask God to save you, and put your complete trust in Him today.
